Image result for fedex trucks

Driving on the road no matter where I am I see big rigs with the advertisement of the company they are driving on the side of their trucks. I see many different companies with the guerilla advertisements, but personally, the one that I see the most is FedEx trucks. I believe most people will agree with me that the big rigs are very annoying on the road because they drive slower due to the excess load they are carrying, but they still annoy you due to their lack of initiative to get somewhere. What people don't realize is that most likely later that day you will complain to someone about that truck who you couldn't drive around, and you will probably name the company the truck is for due to the advertisement on the side of the truck.

We do not realize how much we remember about the big rigs we pass on the road, but we remember a lot. Not only do we remember it was a big rig, but we go as far as remembering the brand on the truck. The companies who own that truck are trying to sell their brands anyway they, you might recognize it most of the time, but I am willing to bet there are also many times that you will see these trucks and just think they are labeling the trucks so people know what company the trucks are carrying inventory for. In reality, people don't realize that the more you see the trucks on the roads the more you think about that certain company whether you want to or not. When you are in need of a certain item or shipping company you will most likely think of the one that you see the most in your daily life. These truck have a bigger impact on you than you think.
I believe that these companies that have these trucks drive on the roads everyday, is in a win win situation. Not only are they moving their products from one place to where they need them, they are getting us consumers to recognize their brands and buy more products for them or use their services more often.

  1. I never thought about it until you mentioned it, but it happends, especially with my parents very often. When they are stuck in traffic, or see a crash, or just an annoyig brand vehicle, they often come home and mention not only the situaton, but the company being endorced on the vehicle as well. Thoughe these accidents ect. arent planned to happen, the logo on the vehicle sticks with driver no matter the situation.

  2. Yeah, I agree with y’all, and it’s not even just Fed Ex. McDonald’s, Walmart, Coca-Cola, and many more brands do this specific type of guerilla advertising. Even on the sides of public transportation, like city buses, you’ll see ads for products/companies.

  3. Wow I didn't realize this either! But it's really true. I always remember what truck is going really slow on the freeway and never realized that simply remembering what brand it is would be beneficial to the company. If all they want you to do is remember their brand no matter how, they accomplished that!
